Oct 04, 2011 Question: Q: Western Digital 1TB My Passport Stopped Working I am using a 1TB My Passport with an Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook running 10.4.11. I bought the WD Passport a couple weeks ago and was successfully able to transfer over all of my Media files (after formatting to work on a mac) to free up space on the Macbook. Been using My Book for Mac for about 2 years without any problem. Consistently backing up, but suddenly the back ups are failing. Information on Time Machine is saying the disk is Read Only. I’ve tried accessing the Disk through iMac Disk Utilities but it’s now not showing up. I’ve downloaded WD Disk Utilities and this can’t repair the disk. I’ve also tried it with my MacBookPro. Also replaced the cable connection. Same issue, so it’s not the Macs. Any ideas other than having to buy another external back-up disk? Check our and before posting. Guidelines for Askers 1.
